CommunityHealth's patients are diverse. They speak over 30 languages, Spanish, Polish and English are most common. Many are residents, some are not. Most can read, others struggle with literacy. Each is low-income and uninsured.
That's why it was important to create a brand to speaks to everyone. Intentionally using simple shapes, clear messaging and universal symbols, we crafted a visual language for CommunityHealth that helps cross barriers of understanding, ensuring everyone feels welcome and cared for.

A logo that represents community + health
The medical cross is one of the most widely recognized international symbols for medical care, and is associated with facilities providing care to all regardless of race or affiliation.
Rounded shapes and bright colors adapt this symbol to our patient-care philosophy, making it warmer and more approachable, while also using the colored shapes to highlight the heart that emerges from the shape. The shapes converge at the center, unifying the parts of a whole.

Room to grow
CommunityHealth has grown in the last 30 years from an idea to the largest free clinic in the nation. We want to ensure that the new brand will continue to grow with CommunityHealth over the next 5, 10, 15 years and beyond. While it’s uncertain how the organization might change, the new logo is adaptable to the potential evolution of the brand.
